In this fast paced workshop, create an 8 x 10 canvas or art journal page using a variety of painting and stencil techniques. We will create our own patterned papers for collage and then make our own silhouettes using magazine ads and laminate paper. Then we will use the principals of masking and stenciling using designs by Jessica for Stencil Girl
to create a unique art journal page or portrait using our silhouettes, patterned papers, and other collage materials.  Leave the workshop with with a finished canvas or art journal page and many new techniques to work into your art.

Fee Includes: Golden Acrylic paints to share, glazing medium to share, Acrylic inks to share, Assorted stencils, ephemera/collage materials, laminate paper, and book pages to create found poetry.


Required Supplies:
Gelli plate if you have one (I will have several to share),
your favorite stencils if you have,
various materials for mark making – toilet paper rolls, credit cards, combs, bubblewrap, etc.,
matte medium,
white gesso,
acrylic paints (4 - 5 colors and black and white),
apron,
heat gun,
8 x 10 canvas or journal,
paint Palette,
Water Container,
Scissors



Jessica Sporn is a mixed media artist known for her strong use of color, texture and heartfelt style. It's been said that her artwork always contains a sprinkle of her soul! She is a designer for Stencil Girl Products; her illustration work can be found on stationary, giftware, and Judaica products.
